Real apps and platforms: designed, built, shipped.

Web apps, portals, CRMs and EPOS systems, plus Lift2, our own native iOS app, built end to end the way we build for clients. Software that ships and then earns its keep.

Henry Goff leads every build. An iOS engineer and a product designer from the bench join as the scope demands; at most two systems of this size are in flight at once.

A regulated CRM, a back office, and a till for a bike shop — in that order.

The evidence for an £8,000-plus business system is the regulated one, so it leads. Lift2, our own app, is below: proof of shipping end to end, not a client story.

FCA-aware CRM & document automation

Bespoke CRM for a regulated claims business: client intake, document generation, change management and records in one compliant system, built around how the business actually runs rather than an off-the-shelf tool the team has to bend around.

As an FCA regulated business, we needed someone who understood our field and could deliver a fast, simple and compliant custom CRM with document automation to match. Henry delivered on every count. Thousands of hours have been saved.

Back office & customer platform

The system behind the site: every enquiry staged and visible, vehicle data from the DVLA on the record, a three-channel composer with consent verified, and the customer's own side — offer, agreement, collection — self-serve on a phone.

Thanks to Henry, our website stands out against the crowd, and the backend and workflows he built save us 100+ hours of admin every month. I can focus on running the business instead of chasing my tail.
Michael Noble · Director, Sell Your Cab

Consent verified per channel before any message is sent; vehicle facts from the official DVLA & DVSA APIs; every action on the record logged.

EPOS & ecommerce for an independent bike shop

Commissioned after the website brought a steady stream of new repair and servicing customers through the door: a point-of-sale and ecommerce system built around how the shop actually runs — stock, repairs, bookings and sales in one system instead of four.

HG.Studio built our website and it's brought a steady stream of new faces into the shop for repairs and servicing. Working with Henry was so straightforward we've signed up for the big one: a custom EPOS and ecommerce system built around how the shop actually runs.

Four kinds of system, one way of building them.

Portals, CRMs, EPOS and native apps share a data model, an auth layer and a habit of building in the open with a staging link from week one.

Scope the product, design the system, build in the open, then run it.

Data model, screens and integrations are mapped and agreed before code. You see the whole product on paper first, and in a browser from the first week.

How a build runsfour steps
  1. 01

    Scope the product, free

    30 min

What you're trying to ship, who it's for, and an honest read on build versus buy, including when off-the-shelf is the right answer.

  2. 02

    Design the system

    paid discovery for larger builds

Data model, screens and integrations mapped and agreed before code. For larger builds a paid discovery from £1,500, credited in full, produces a written scope you own.

  3. 03

    Build & ship

    staging from week one

Built in the open, tested on real data, with the bench attached where the scope needs it, and shipped when it's genuinely ready to run your business.

  4. 04

    Run & evolve

    care from £400/mo

Shipped software gets looked after: monitoring, fixes and a roadmap, the same way we run our own products.

The questions people ask before booking.

Q1Is the anchor the price I'll pay?

No. from £8,000 +VAT is where this kind of build starts; a bespoke CRM, EPOS or portal typically lands at £12,000–£30,000 and is scoped individually. Every project is scoped on a free 30-minute call and priced as a fixed scope, plus VAT, before anything is built. The number you sign doesn't move unless the scope does.

Q2Will you tell me if I shouldn't build?

Yes; build-versus-buy honesty is step one of the process. If HubSpot, a £30-a-month Shopify app or Citrus-Lime does the job, you'll hear that on the free call and keep your budget. Bespoke earns its keep when the software has to match how the business actually runs — a regulated claims process, a workshop and a shop floor in one till — and off-the-shelf would mean bending the business around the tool.

Q3What happens if Henry is unavailable?

You own the repository from day one, so nothing is held hostage. Every build is documented to a written standard, a named backup developer is written into the contract, care plans carry stated response times, and the contract includes a repo-ownership clause. The studio is small on purpose; the continuity policy is what makes that safe to buy.

Q4Who owns the code and the accounts?

You do. The repository, the hosting account, the domain and every third-party service are set up in your name or transferred to it at handover. We hold access only for as long as a care plan says we should.

Q5Have you shipped software of your own?

Yes. Lift2, a native iOS app, and the client portal every HG Studio proposal lands in. Owning products end to end — App Store review and all — is the best training there is for shipping yours.

Q6What happens after launch?

Shipped software gets looked after. Care plans from £400 a month keep the system live, patched, monitored and backed up with a direct line; Growth and Scale add ongoing improvement. Three-month minimum, then rolling monthly.

Got a product in your head?

A free 30-minute call: we scope what shipping it actually takes — design, build, App Store or browser — and give you an honest read on whether it's worth building. It ends with a fixed price.
